This 1974 Porsche 911 coupe was converted into an IROC/RSR-style race car. Set up for individual races in PCA Group GT3-S in 2013. Features include RSR-style fiberglass bodywork, a roll cage with door bars, 3 piece alloy wheels, and more as outlined below. The naturally aspirated 3.4-liter flat-six is equipped with twin-plug heads and PMO 50 carburetors, and it sends power to the rear wheels through a 915 five-speed manual transaxle. Adjustable coilovers at all four corners. Suspension set up by Franz Blaum. Approximately 20 hours of track time have been added since the engine and gearbox build in 2013. The car has been campaigned in PCA Group GT3-S.  A PCA Club Racing logbook is available.

This 911 IROC/RSR-style race car is now offered in Hopkinsville, Kentucky on a bill of sale and with a clean Kentucky title in the current owner’s name.

Fiberglass IROC-style fender flares measuring 9″ in front and 11″ at the rear have been added. The body has been fitted with fiberglass front fenders, quarter panels, hood, rear deck and quick-disconnect bumpers. Additional photos of the build with bodywork, finish, and trim are available.

The welded-in roll cage incorporates door and cross bars, and it ties into the unibody in multiple places, including in the front trunk area and engine compartment, tub is seam welded. Safety equipment includes a Kirky Full Containment seat and a Corbeau Forza seat, a five-point harness, Window net, a MOMO quick-release steering wheel, exterior and interior ignition and fuel cut-off switches, a Fire-suppression system, a FAST Cool Suit system. Brake bias is adjustable.

Instrumentation behind the quick release three-spoke Momo steering wheel includes a combination of AutoMeter gauges to monitor rpm, oil temperature, oil pressure and voltage. Oil Pressure and electrical warning lights. Programable shift lights.

The suspension features 935-style control arms, 930-style rear trailing arms, 930-style front hubs as well as 930-style inboard adjustable camber boxes and Bilstein coilovers at all four corners. Tarett Engineering sway bars, 993 calipers and cross-drilled floating rotors. Front brake cooling ducts.

The 3.4-liter flat-six. It is equipped with dual-plug cylinder heads and 50mm PMO carburetors. Additional features include balanced crank and rods, JE forged pistons, ARP hardware, Elgin camshafts, an Electromotive ignition. The engine has approximately 20 hours since the build.

Power is delivered to the rear wheels through a 915 five-speed manual transaxle with a  limited-slip differential. The gears are matched to keep the RPM in the power range. The gearbox is fitted with Turbo stub axles, output shafts, and axle shafts. Additional underside photos are presented in the gallery.

17″ CCW wheels are wrapped in Hoosier slicks measuring 245/40/17 up front and 315/35/17 out back. One additional set of wheels accompany the car: 3 piece BBS style alloy wheels with 245/40/17 and 315/35/17 Hoosier tires.

The current fuel cell is not “race legal”. The Fuel Safe 27 gal. fuel cell is out of the car and will need a new bladder.
